Welcome to the 2014 Fall Season of Bel Air Terps Cheerleading!

 

I’d like to start off by introducing myself, my name is Kerrie Williams and I am the new Director this year for our cheer program.  My daughter started cheering for the Terps in 2007 and I began coaching in 2008, so we have been involved with the program for 7 years, this being our 8th.  I also have a three year old who is starting this year.  I am very excited to have been asked to take on this position and am looking forward to a great season.  I also have a great staff who are very supportive of the many changes I am implementing this year, that being said there will also be a learning curve for all of us. Please be patient while we work out the bugs.

 

The girls should wear a t-shirt and shorts (practice uniform once distributed), cheer shoes or tennis shoes and their hair pulled up and away from their face.Cheer bows are encouraged if you have them, if you don’t, you will soon.All jewelry needs to be removed, even starter earrings if recently pierced. This is required at every practice including the Ice Cream Social!(When we are outside sunscreen and bug spray are a plus)

 

  • Please remember to complete and return all the forms in your registration packet.They are required for your child to participate.There will be a place to turn these in at the social.If you have misplaced these forms you can log in to the website, go to your team page, click the documents tab and you can pull up the forms to print them out.

     

  • We will use our website a lot this year, it is not new but it has been way underutilized in the past. We already have many important dates and reminders on there and will add more as we get them, you are even able to print monthly calendars from your team’s page.You can refer to the website at any time for up to date information, it’s a great tool!

     

  • If you have any planned vacations, please let your coach know as soon as you receive their email.

Squad ages vary from 5Uthru 14U. Must be 3 (and potty-trained) by 08/01/14. Cost is $150.00 per participant (Late fee was applied after June 14th)(Sibling discount available).

Cheerleaders will be notified by their Coach in July for which team they will cheer.

Our program will begin with our Ice Cream Social on Monday, August 4th and runs thru mid/late November, depending on football championship games. Practice can be 2-3 evenings per week in August (depending on age group) and 2 evenings per week September and October. All participants will cheer at Bel Air Terps Football games on the weekends beginning approximately August 24th AND the first 25 cheerleaders on each team will compete at up to 4 competitions during the season. Local travel may be required.

Additional expenses for uniform, shoes, spankies, mock top, poms, warm-up suit & gym bag (We have been able to lower some of these prices from previous years).
